I've been amped on super tacky string art Nel and I've found in thrift stores. I can't stop making these. I'm working on some ideas and know where this is going.
I hadn't though about it like that. I'm gonna run with it to give it more depth. I've started working these with string over collage on a 18 by 22 wooden board.
loves it. youre really good at using straight lines and boxes as building blocks to create something larger and more comprecated than the elementals with which you begin your journey. it reminds me of dna and how everything in the whole world is made of essentailly the same weird spirally dnas. an elephant and a toothbrush. it all starts out the same.
I've mapped these designs in pins across a linoleum board and branched string to create the lines. i've even started mapping pins onto horse bones too. if I follow the contours and shape of bones i think this could be rad

I enjoy the way the face interrupts a dialogue within the plane- it brings you back to the surface kind of a like a ticker on tv news.
