Hey I have a beloved friend moving to town (san francisco) and, natz, she'll be in need of a bicycle to traverse the landscape.
I remember someone posting something before about some immense cache of bicycles hidden away -- any of them need to get loose?
She's willing to pay cash money within reasonable reason.

I have a friend selling a women's road bike. It's an old Lotus. She's been trying to sell it on craigslist, but I think she's been asking too much for it. I'd say it would be a good bike for your friend, but only if it were sold for WAY less. I'll talk to her and see if she'll lower the price. How much does your friend want to spend/how tall is she/what are her preferences?
Also, I lied. I don't think it's a women's bike, though a woman has been riding it. Is that important?
How does she feel about a lite-green single speed, flat bar, 54cm ctc for 200 bucks?
Are you talking about Chelsea, Sam?
i think she wants to pay less than 200 but might go up to 250 for the right machine. she really wants gears to be able to handle the hills. she likes cute cruisers with baskets but i think the sf geography will force her to something lighter.
she's about 5-6 to 5-9
Matt: it is Chelsea's bike.
Lars: I don't think it sounds like it's something your friend would want. Good luck! There are so many bikes 'round the city, you're sure to find something good. If she could rock a cruiser on those hills... that'd be hot. She'd get strong real fast!
